Children’s Formation

Episcokids

We offer formation classes for children from age 3 through 5th grade at 9:30 a.m. each week (except for the 1st Sunday of the month which is our parish breakfast). During the 10:30 a.m. worship service, we offer nursery care and Children’s Chapel.

We invite children to serve in our worship services as an acolyte or reader.

Throughout the year we also offer special events designed for children: musical programming, The Blessing of the Backpacks, The Blessing of the Animals, our annual Christmas Pageant and other excursions.

All your children
shall be taught
by the Lord,
and great shall be
the prosperity
of your children.

Youth Formation

Episcopal Youth Community (EYC)

Our EYC provides holistic opportunities for fun, worship, service and outreach while also meeting the challenges of our youths’ busy lives.

During Sunday Formation (9:30 a.m.), young people learn how the narratives of our scripture and tradition give shape to their everyday lives of prayer, love and service.

From this foundation, young people can branch out to other activities. We invite them to assist in our regular worship by serving as an acolyte, singing in the choir and becoming a reader. They also can participate in Camp Mikell retreats and Ski Lake Junaluska, mission work and other excursions.
