REYouth

Youth Formation | Episcopal Youth Community (EYC)

PRAYER. REFLECTION. LOVE. SERVING OTHERS.

At Resurrection, we value the role that youth play in our community and we offer many opportunities for young people to engage in our parish life. Meeting the challenges of the busy lives of our youth, our EYC seeks to provide holistic opportunities for fun, worship, service and outreach.

The best way for youth to get involved at Resurrection is through our Sunday Formation which happens 9:30 a.m. each Sunday. During Sunday Formation, young people have the opportunity to learn how the narratives of our scripture and tradition give shape to their everyday lives of prayer, love and service.

It is from the context of our common community on Sunday mornings that young people can branch out to other activities, including Camp Mikell retreats and Ski Lake Junaluska, opportunities to assist in our regular worship services (including serving as an acolyte, singing in the choir, and becoming a reader), mission work, and other excursions.
